Magic Molly

Magic Molly

deep purple skin, deep purple flesh This rockstar potato just won’t stop—pick them as sweet little fingerlings early or hold out for larger potatoes later in the season.

Purple through and through, Mollies win the taste award from our picking crew. Ian Jerolmack of Stonecipher Farm in Bowdoinham, ME, has developed a following among his restaurant accounts; they incited a small riot after his Mollies had been bought up.

With vigorous plants, high yields and few diseases, Magic Mollies, though relatively new to the potato scene, are in hot demand. Slight inclination to scab. Available as organic and conventional seed.

This item will ship on our regular shipping schedule, starting in early April with the warmest hardiness zones. We cannot ship this item any earlier; we regret that we cannot honor any requests to do so.

Additional Information

Solanum tuberosum
Fingerlings are long and thin, shaped like small fish or maybe even fingers, displaying various skin and flesh colors. Fingerlings are often prolific and disease-resistant. Though late maturing, the plants set heavily and small ones can be harvested early. Chefs, market farmers and home gardeners find these beautiful potatoes have unequaled flavor and culinary qualities.

We are handling live plant material. We sometimes have short crops and failed lots. We do occasionally substitute conventional varieties unless you note otherwise. Please see our substitution policy.
