Item: 7222-A
Malus spp.
Late fall.

Probably originated at Petworth, the estate of Lord Egremont, in Sussex, England, before 1872.

High-quality flavorful dessert apple. Fruit is medium-small, roundish and entirely russeted. Before the obsession with Honeycrisp and all the Cox’s Orange Pippin types, Egremont was highly sought after by dessert-apple collectors. We received our scionwood several decades ago through the wonderful old Pomona magazine of NAFEX (North American Fruit Explorers).

Rugged, reliable and hardy, it has produced for us here in central Maine for nearly 30 years. Blooms early-midseason. Z4.

(Standard: 3–6' bare-root trees)
