Annual Seed Swap & Scionwood Exchange

at MOFGA’s Common Ground Education Center in Unity, Maine

This will be an indoor and outdoor event, so wear your woolies and come enjoy a warm drink, see old friends, meet new friends and bring home some scionwood for grafting and seeds for planting! Gardeners and orchardists are invited to bring their seeds, scionwood and cuttings to share. If you don’t have any, come anyway!

Fruit Tree Grafting Workshop

at the Viles Arboretum in Augusta, Maine

Viles Arboretum partnering with Fedco Seeds

Led by Jennifer Ries, from the nursery department at Fedco, you’ll learn how and why to graft. She’ll demonstrate techniques for Whip & Tongue grafting, then participants will graft stock to take home.

The Great Maine Apple Day

at MOFGA’s Common Ground Education Center in Unity, Maine

Join us at MOFGA for a day of celebration of apples and other delicious tree fruit. There will be guided tours of the Maine Heritage Orchard, workshops, cider pressing and help identifying ‘mystery’ apples by our Apple Identification team.
