Latham Summer-bearing Raspberry

Rubus spp. Mid. MN4 (King x Loudon) U Minn, 1920.

A standard raspberry for more than a century, extremely popular and widely grown. Large bright red 1" fruit is roundish, firm, a little crumbly and sprightly sweet, full-flavored and aromatic. Great for fresh eating, canning, freezing, jam, juice or pie.

Ripens over an extended season making it an ideal candidate for the home garden. Canes are 4-5' tall and highly productive. Not as spiny as most raspberries.

Summer-bearing raspberries bear on second-year canes (floricanes). Midseason berries ripen around late July in central Maine. Widely adaptable and very winter hardy. Disease resistant. Z3. (bare-root canes)
