‘Sir Thomas Lipton’ Rose

‘Sir Thomas Lipton’ Rose

5-8' x 4-7' Rosa rugosa alba x Clotilde Soupert. Van Fleet, US, 1900. Rugosa hybrid.

Fragrant pure white double blooms show hints of green on overcast days when the petals reflect the leathery medium-green foliage. Upright canes are vigorous.

Works well as a shrub rose in a thorny hedge and offers repeat blooms, probably more so in warmer regions. Shows good disease resistance even in humid climates.

Named for the man who brought us Lipton tea. Z3. (9-18" bare-root plants)
