This mix offers sizeable cylindrical terminal flower spikes that rise above knee-high clumps of palmate glossy green foliage. Colors range from purple, blue, mauve, pink, lilac or cream. More tolerant to heat and humidity than many standard cultivars, yet the New Millenniums also thrive in super-chilly corners of the world with reports of successful perennial plantings in the frostier parts of Canada.
Avoid overhead watering to prevent disease. Mulch recommended to keep the roots cool and moist. Plant 36" apart in highly fertile non-acid loam. Light shade is best but full sun is fine. Z3. (3½" hardy plug stock)
