Elegant towering North American native sends up large 9" flower spikes with densely clustered tiny white blossoms that open from the top down in early summer. Lance-shaped leaves form whorls on rugged upright stems that rarely need staking. Bees love this flower. Adds beautiful architecture to the back of the perennial border and is a requirement in any well-built rain garden.
