Medium-small blocky-truncate fruit entirely covered with a yellowish green russet and no blush. Resembles Golden Russet. Delicious fresh eating right through the fall. By the second week of October, the flavor is perfect. A hint of lime. In late January the flesh is still quite firm and somewhat crisp with good flavor.
In our trials, the Brix has been as high as 21 (1.086 SG) making it a good candidate for fermentation. The original roadside seedling tree is long gone but fortunately John propagated it on his farm about 25 years ago.
Keeps until late January. Blooms mid-late season. Probably Z4-7. Maine Grown. (Standard: 3-6' bare-root trees)
All apple trees require a second variety for pollination.
