Papaver orientale Fuzzy fern-like leaves, showy buds open to dazzling scarlet blooms with contrasting black eyes. Sow in June, transplant in October for flowers late the next spring. Fits well with border perennials and ornamental grasses because plants go dormant after spring flowering until the leaves re-emerge in the fall. Grows 16".
