Perennial to Zone 9, grown as an annual. With bronze-green foliage and a profusion of stunning deep blue flowers, this is the perfect window-box plant. 4" tall, great for edgings, walks and borders. An old variety, offered by Henderson in 1902 for a dime per packet. Named for the Flemish botanist Mathias de l’Obel who was a physician to King James I of England. Needs light to germinate.
